Blue Ridge, Georgia

Blue Ridge is a beautiful city located in Fannin County and is surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains. The city is home to around 1,290 people and is the county seat of Fannin. Founded in 1886 along the line of the Marietta and North Georgia Railroad, the town of Blue Ridge originally wasn’t the seat of Fannin County. The planners of the railroad decided to avoid Morganton, the original county seat, which led to the newly formed Blue Ridge being made the seat in 1895.
